Wow I'm bad at updating.
School's starting up again for me shortly. I have registration on Tuesday and then classes actually start this Wednesday. I've been particularly bad about updating anything online and I really doubt I'm about to get any better at it overnight.
I have a number of things I still need to put up as deviations on DA. Though at this point I'm not going to bother listing them or trying to think of a date when I think I might get them up.
Instead I'm just going to try and get stuff up when I can, keep making things, and try to put up a journal once a month just to prove I'm still alive.
All of my classes this year are costume based and, with the exception of the Mens Pattern Drafting class, involve sewing. It's got a heavy focus on Victorian era clothing. I have to make a dress with a corset and bustle. We also make a Victorian era mens suit but we're only pattern drafting that this semester. We make the actual suit for men next semester.
Next semester we also get to make things that go with the dress such as a hat and gloves. We don't make shoes but I believe we do at one point alter a pair of shoes to go with the dress if we can't find any to go with it.
Commissions will likely remain full for quite some time. I've got one I just finished a toile for and have started working on the actual garment now. And then I have a pile of other things to work on. A couple of which are commissions and the rest are gifts I've been meaning to finish. Commissions won't be opening up online again until I finish off that list. And with school also hogging up my time that could take a while.

DesertBus was amazing!
So over the past week I was at Desert Bus. I was on the tech team in the engineering corner and mostly there during the Zeta shifts.
I can't believe how amazing it all was. It went for 152 hours and raised over $437,000 this year alone!
It's funny because despite the fact that it only finished Friday at 5am I feel like that was weeks ago now. And so much of that week is compressed and I can't remember what order anything happened in anymore.
I'm just going to drop a few links here about the event.

Joined Ravelry
So the other day I decided to finally join Ravelry. I've been working on placing all my yarny creations there.
My Ravelry can be found here for anyone interested: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/lunarjadestyles
Also if anyone who is following me has a Ravelry account let me know. I'd love to check it out too.
PAX Prime and Moving Update
So quickly I moved a couple of weeks ago. Which was interesting given that there were two conventions to deal with right after moving.
Cos & Effect which happened four days after moving and PAX Prime which was a week later. We only just got all the boxes into the house about eight hours ago. Which is great cause I can finally unpack things.
However I thought I'd do a bit of writing about what I did at PAX.
This was my first year attending PAX. I had wanted to go in previous years but generally school was in the way.
PAX itself was awesome. Probably my favourite convention now. I spent a lot of time wandering around and I got the chance to
So it's August..
I've let my DA kind of run down and I guess I'm going to let it keep doing that for a bit.
What can I say I've been busy. And August is super busy this year. Three convention weekends and moving to boot.
I haven't had any tables this summer. I had applied for one at Animethon but ended up cancelling it due to the move and panel work I've got going on. It just wasn't convient this time around. Which is too bad because I do enjoy working in the Artist Alley. Still there's only so much work one person can do.
I'll be moving to Victoria after Animethon is over. Not sure what I'm going to do there exactly but that's part of the fun. :)
I hope
